Any ideas for shopping strategies? ( I really have not looked, just dreamed)
Also, any good ideas for teacher gifts?
What is your favourite line below? Hard, I like them all. I guess We do dreams is mine.
What would you add? Me.....We always try our best. and to stick with the pattern it would be, We do best effort. All I want and was ever taught was to try your hardest!
A and I attended a parent session last week. It was put on by the ladies of parenting power.
It was refreshing. Enjoyable and at times enlightening.
What did I take away:
~remembering to love uniquely
~considering MY emotional feelings when mr 1 or mr 2 is getting a little too much ( annoyed = I want attention, want to growl and fight = I want to fight) ..not sure the boys know how to do this one yet! We were told to wait for it.
~little ones believe everything you say so if you say "We are never going to make it on time, they think yup you are right, we are not I will keep playing legos instead of putting on my socks.
~do not do what they can do for themselves it is very discouraging.
~let there be mistakes, they are small when they are little but the same mistake when they are older is much much bigger.
~ parents make mistakes you have time to fix them.
In our home we make lots of mistakes and that is why I really want this "art work" because
we do second chances
we do sorry
we do real
and we do love
EVERYDAY.

We made (really just painted) our growth chart because I had not seen anything I liked. It is very simple. We bought a six foot long (four inches wide) maso board from home depot (already primed), painted that red and screwed it to the wall in the toy room. We then just marked one foot intervals and measure the kids every six months. We had a terrible growth chart from our old garage that we transfered the numbers off and if we ever need to move it (to a new location in the house because I'm never moving again), we can easily do that.
ReplyDeleteFor teacher gifts this year I am knitting lavender sachets, do you knit?
