On Tuesday I turned my frown upside down, my husband pushed me out the door, I downloaded some new music, and set out. The first 6 km were the fastest 6 I have run in a long time. My knee (possibly due to my husband's dry needling torture) did not feel too bad and I loved my new music. Two new favourites: Some Nights & We are Young by Fun.
So in addition to the fear of an upcoming race, I hope to use my husbands torture, new music, a little self bribery, and some Pinterst ( I am so hooked) motivators, such as this one below to keep my sneakers on the road.
HOWEVER....if anyone would like to join me to: get on track, stay on track, run slow, run fast, or simply run to run off the jiggles and have some Mommy giggles then please please call and bring your sneakers. Mine are waiting at the front door.

I may take you up on that offer...but not quite yet. I'm slow and it has been months. I"m going to go out tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteSo, I did it! Went for a run yesterday and realized my knee is still hooped. I think I'll be visiting your Hubbie and get it sorted out. I really want to be a runner!
ReplyDeleteGive me a few more months...hopefully by late summer I'd love (LOVE!) to be back on the road and if you don't mind the greatly reduced speed would love company :)
