A few minutes after convincing O to lay down and have a snuggle with me, he jumped up, tore back the curtain, pulled back the blind and without hesitation or doubt he confidently announced that he heard a train outside his window. As my heart melted, I found myself wishing that I could capture this moment in more than my memory. The sight of his little head peaking out the window, seeing him standing on his tip toes so sure that if he opened the blind further I too would see what he saw was beyond precious. However as much as I wished for a photo I also dreamed of a camera (and the skills) that would best capture this moment.
We have been very happy using our Canon G9 camera for the last several years. It fits in my bag, we have no problem bringing it everywhere, most of the time it takes good pictures, and it is easy to use, but I can not help but be envious of other peoples photos. So as we save our pennies in consideration of purchasing a new camera, what would you recommend? What would be your ideal? Or should be just stick with what we have? With a new baby on the way I will again be getting very camera happy.
