Last weekend I took a photography class. This class was specifically designed for Moms with high hopes yet are somewhat clueless to the potential of their camera. I learned a lot and came home determined to stop using my automatic setting, go MANUAL, try a few photo projects, and capture more of every day moments and less cheese faces.
I inquired, and took this class because I was tired of shadows, flash glare and knowing I could do so much more with my camera.
So now I am trying...and excited to try.
Not all my pictures are great, especially the indoor ones...but I have only shot automatic once
(yesterday when we revealed O to his new room..see below). I am impressed with the fast progress I have made (if you are reading Sara, thanks). I have taken a few steps backward in regards to scenery, set-up, and artistry while I focus ( literally) on finding a good iso, aperture, and shutter speed.
This is a small sample of the zillions of pictures I took of my runny nose boy last weekend in the mountains. We finally conquered the croup. This mountain air helped us turn a corner.
This is my indoor attempt. Lots more practice to do inside. Outside is way easier.
Here is a really small snapshot of O's new surfer room.
As for the fall list, we have a little snow to contend with. Just maybe there are some leaves under there.
Stay tuned.

Well done!! I was in the last class and so glad I attended! I too, was frustrated with indoor shooting but picked up a prime lens...LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteDid you receive Sara's email about her project. I'm going to give it a go. I've loved doing my 366 project but am soooo done...once a month sounds like heaven to me at this point.
