Tomorrow is the official start of the full time, full speed ahead fall routine. It is hard to believe it is already upon us. Yes, we started school last week, but tomorrow the M-F life that I left behind so long ago starts again. I am certain the boys are ready, but I on the other hand am not quite so enthused yet. This is especially true when I look in my back seat. Looking back I realize how much we are all growing, how much we have changed, what we are leaving behind and also what is ahead of us.
In my back sear are two "grown up" little men giggling, (screaming) and laughing. They gaze out their windows sporting their coolio sunnys. Gummy grins are no longer in my rear view mirror.
They both are wearing their "pumas" now. Those "shoes" that O used to wear... they now fit J. Man oh man I am raising two little flirts and two studs.
It is weekends like this one, when my little man gets on to a tricycle ( with no regard for safety and no fear) and my oldest sheds his training wheels to officially become a big boy biker that I realize I must not blink to many times in a day.
I never imagined this ride, though sometimes bumpy, I guess it is worth putting on the helmet, buckling up and taking off the training wheels. Growing up can be fun too.
*NB for the last 3 weeks I have tried to write a more extensive and descriptive blog on our trip to Portugal. Sitting on the couch and shutting the computer screen however seems a lot easier lately. I will try my best this week but no promises.
