I will be the first to admit ( well, some of you may have noticed) that the last 4 weeks have knocked my/our socks off. Four weeks ago we were celebrating first birthdays, healing limbs, visiting hospitals, and planning a return to work.....we were not rested, ready or mentally prepared.
We made it to "shore" every day but the "waves" made me cry, whine, spaz, and have to deep breathe.
BUT RIGHT NOW...
I am sitting on my deck sofa ( big smile),
sipping a diet coke and eating Chex Cereal mix (This mix is fantastic, not healthy and much to my disbelieve can be found in Canada....so I guess we did not need to stock up on it when were in Vegas)
J is sleeping,
the boys are running hardware store errands,
dinner is ready,
brunch tomorrow is moderately prepared
and I feel like we may be catching up.
In fact, we may just be making progress forward. In the last few days I think I may finally be on-top of my work load ( I also let myself off the hook a little, as my magic OT wand only works some of the time and it does not like only being given 5 weeks). We also have managed to assemble a backyard seating oasis. ( It is bad that we have more furniture outside than in?). And overall, we have settled into a new family routine. We ( I!!) may not have accepted it, but the fact that even for a second I considered working again in September is a sign that this life, although not forever could be manageable......maybe?) In four weeks the clutter (which I despise) exploded, the laundry piled up, we had the flu, we got colds, the dust grew, the clutter grew, the kids were happy, and the clutter and dust grew.
BUT TODAY,
O and my beloved are out buying shelving for the garage
We are going to eat outside
I am ignoring the dust ( not the clutter.... it got to me)
and my feet are up!!!!!
I hope all my Mommy friends get to put their feet up this weekend if only for a second and do something just for you that makes you happy. Hope the sun is shining where you are!
