I love it when the day flows and feels full.....
when Mommy guilt does not surround me all day,
I am not rushed and ragged,
my kids are joyful,
the house is tidy and moderately clean,
and I know I had a little bit of quality time with everyone including myself.
Yesterday was that kind of day. Sigh.....
~I woke early (my youngest told me to) and emerged from underneath my heavy duvet with a cold nose and a warm body. I love this feeling. Beginning yesterday my tall and tanned man will no longer be leaving the house at 5:55 (or earlier) a.m. each Monday morning. He will spend the morning at home and work late. It was nice to start the day with him in the house.
~I nursed my little giraffe and zoomed off to the Y for a fantastic workout.

~I made a few phone calls while sitting (parked) in the car. Yeah productivity.
~Insert MORE "Me Time": I happily drove off to get a hot latte.
~ Shower, nurse and off to Michaels's (not the highlight of the day but it was fairly smooth trip in search of bag decor for my new pre-schooler).
~We got home at 1:30 (opps took to long at Michaels) and got little brother to bed.
~Insert: O and Mommy time: A cup of chilli (a la Tim Horton's) and several hours of wheel barrow adventures in the backyard.
~Bath
~Books
~Bed
~Daddy comes home with sushi.
~Insert: Husband and wife time.
Love the new header...and love your instagrams. Aren't they fun?!
ReplyDeleteOff I go to check out the rest of Portugal. :)
Hi Jill
ReplyDeleteI too, love when Hubbie can go in late, it is such a nice break for the weekly routine.
I'm going to look up the Ipad scrabble, I've heard you talk of it before :)
You said you would send the link for photos, would love to see your Portugal trip. After your last response, I've been pondering a trip sooner rather than later. Just waiting to see where Little 1 ends up touring next summer with band.
Take care,
Oh my goodness! I just looked through your photos and I can not wait to go!!! A beach trip everyday...how sweet was that! White in the first photos but definitely darker in the last :) How close to the beach were you? I have so many questions but I'll first start looking into a trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek!
Oh, another thing. You look fantastic and I'm guessing he is about six months old. Well done!
