Last week it really felt like summer!
We were blessed with TONS of sunshine ( finally),
LOTS of family fun,
a GREAT visit from west coast pals,
and many many FIRSTS.
What a great week and what a great way to kick off July.
We celebrated the end of every day with laughter and a lot of little boy energy. It also was the first time we had three bums in our tub and O's first sleepover. Lucky O, the sleepover lasted 9 days. It was cool to see my old twin beds in use again.J got to go to the zoo for the first time.
A dip in the hotel pool was the first time these 11 weeks toes twinkled in chlorine, but it was also the first time J was in a hotel, on a gondola, and to the mountains. He also shared in late night beers with his parents and got plenty of practice swatting away mosquitos. Arg.
And a full morning at the Stampede capped off a great week. YAHOO! Superdogs, chicken fingers, mini chuck-wagons, 2 train rides, milk and cookies, playing in canola, observing livestock and tons of negotiating....great fun!
All this family fun leaves me craving so much more. With the sun shining ( well it is raining now) and my little boys changing so quickly my brain is having a hard time thinking about blogging. Instead, I am thinking about playgrounds, playing in the dirt, preparing for a family wedding and a big family trip, planning a backyard, a little bit of quilting, late night walks and talks, and soaking up these precious summer months with my 3 boys. So forgive me if I am a bit inconsistent and occasionally absent...... you see I may be stealing a kiss on the top of a mountain.
