The things I have learned

This week, like several that have preceded it, has been full of silly but valuable life long learning.

On Monday I learned that the high fees that lawyers charge for preparing legal documents apparently are not sufficient enough to cover postage.

On Tuesday I learned how to use my new sewing machine to mirror image a stitch image. Frankly I was more excited about all the cool new stitch patterns I learned.

On Wednesday I learned that when given an appointment such as Thursday April 14th, it may actually be Wednesday April 14th or Thursday April 15th. Short and sweet we missed our appointment at the home gallery last night.

Today I learned several things ( unfortunately at the expense of my sick little boy)

1) Popsicles and Jell-O should always be kept in your freezer and cupboard

2) Practice makes perfect when catching stomach yuckys in a bowl

3) Don't feed a sick little boy gold fish crackers..they stink

4) Sick little boys make excellent heaters and great cuddle bugs

5) Thomas is a cheeky little engine. You learn this when watching several hours of Thomas movies on the couch

6) iPhones are excellent tools when your husband has to select tile for your new house on his own.

7) The magpie currently building his house in our bonus room is afraid of the barn owl app on the iPhone.

8) The Britax car seat is hand washable ONLY. However, a better lesson is not to take a sick boy who has just eaten gold fish crackers out for a car ride even if he requests it.

I sure hope my little train engineer is back to playing tracks tomorrow. It is crazy how fast this gross bug hit and how sick he got. It was so nice to get hours of cuddles and snuggle on the couch, but I don't want to see him like that again for a long while. Good night.
