Last month, I decided I really wanted to start running more again. This was going to be hard as I did not have a consistent running partner to motivate me and I was not "training" for anything in particular. So this is when I came up with my "running challenge list". For the first few weeks I was consistently removing 2 runs from my list each week. This was a frequency that allowed me to train for our last 1/2. However, I have not run ONCE in the last few weeks. The weather has been good and I really have no excuses. So to get back into the running game I am revising my plan but not forgetting about it. Some of my new goals are time-oriented, some speed-orientated, some feel-good-orientated but most of all these last runs are all accomplishment-orientated. I hope this late night motivation will carry over into the morning. 5 runs on the list...here I go!
My next revision relates to the selections we made in our home. In an all out manic selection process last Monday, we managed to select everything (and I mean everything) for the inside of our home. However I remembered very little of what we chose. So with a little persuading, we have been given another 1 hour appointment to redo, revisit and revise as necessary. Coffee, patience, and perspective will be needed.
Another revision was to my sewing class schedule. This week I will attend the 2nd class in this revised plan. I originally intended to take a 3 day crash course, however at the last minute moved into 3 hours/ week approach. I have quickly come to realize that I am going to learn more about sewing than my machine. I will be sure to share all the crazy things I have tried.
My final revision is a more interesting and exciting one. This week I decided to ask my little man a lot more frequently if he would like to use the potty..... and by gosh the little dude pees in the potty every time we suggest it. Although we are not at the dry diaper phase or the I want to wear big boy pants stage we certainly may be ready to revise the potty plan and start on a new and slow training process. Not many things beat jumping up and down in jubilant celebration with my son when the potty music goes on.
I hope all of your revisions are met with success!! I have a new project I'd like to tackle in the coming months (a picnic quilt), so when you get that sewing machine greased up...
ReplyDeleteAnd you can send Mr. O over anytime to give Miss A a pep talk about the potty :) :) :)
