Material Obsession

Over the last several months I have been spending a lot of time cleaning, purging, organizing, planning, and selecting. Although, often annoying and fatiguing, getting many of these jobs done feels good and was much needed. Certainly I have A LOT more annoying and fatiguing jobs ahead of me. Everyone once and a while I have been able to do some work on a scrapbooking project. BUT I am craving some time at my kitchen table with my NEW, not yet broken in, beautiful sewing machine. I have registered for a 3 day machine class at the end of the month. So after this I am hoping to satisfy my

Avalon, appears to be an easy quilt. It should come together fast as you use 12 fat quarters ( big pieces) to put it all together. I really like the white edges as well.

The 'Burbs is beyond cute and could not be a better quilt to bring into our new home in the burbs. It looks a little complicated, expensive (?), but so cute. Maybe if not this time, certainly a project for the future. I may need a team member for this one.

And I guess if I am successful in completing a quilt in the next little while, I can go outside in my dirt backyard, and go for a walk in my bare feet. I love this picture.
