Muffin men and mamma wants to make

Many a morning we, the B 3, find ourselves at one of our favourite local coffee establishments, "Good Earth". In the early days we loved going there with our new-born as he was fascinated by the ceiling fans and in turn Mom and Dad were able to sip a hot beverage and enjoy a great piece of thick multi-grain toast with PB. Then when O began eating solid foods, small spoon fulls of Mom's plain yogurt became a hit. After I returned to work last March, Daddy and O began a routine all their own. Many Wednesday mornings they would go to a nearby playground and then head to Good Earth for a Mmmmuffin.

Yesterday I decided to give their routine a try. To start off with, the playground was amazing. More interesting O devoured his entire Berry Bran muffin. However he enjoys many of the Good Earth muffin brand. I guess he really is just like his Dad, a muffin man.

So since our eating preferences these days, especially at diner, seem to vary I thought I should attempt to be Jessica Seinfeld and sneak some veggi goodness into some muffins. This is one of my projects over the next few weeks and months. I want to try some decipitevely delicious recipes. I am hoping that applesauce muffins with sweet potato puree is an acceptable substitute for dinner when a cranky toddle decides he suddenly does not like Mom's spaghetti.I will keep you posted.

I have some other project ideas for the next few months. For these endeavours I am choosing go with the flow. In the past I posted my to do list in my sidebar. I loved the pressure of pushing myself to complete a long standing craft, however this fall I should probably choose bedtime over late night quilting ( most of the time, hehe) and occasionally I should probably decide to dust the stairs or wash the floor. Regardless it will all get done, as we all know.

So here goes...it is actually kind of a short list but with some big projects.

1 Make a few lap quilts
2. Take a mac class so I can make a movie of O's first year
3. Finish the never ending patch knit blanket
4. Make my first toque for O before it gets too warm again to wear one.
5. Try new recipes for the fall.

Wish me luck in my go with the flow approach..he he.
