Round 2: To Do List.
June 15th has come and gone and here is how I did.
1.Finish bento box quilt- CHECK.
See picture above. I tried it out in two locations for fun. However, it was always intended for the spare bedroom. I think it looks grand! I wonder who will be the first to sleep underneath this labour of love.
2.Basement "Reno"-CHECK
We did a lot of gutting, a lot of rearranging, and a ton of tidying. I am giving myself credit for this one, even though I still have another big trip to the women in need and the clothing bin. We still have a ton of stuff in the basement( the little man has added a lot of things lately), but for the most part most of it is valuable, still enjoyed, will be used again, should be shared not thrown away, and at this moment it is not in the way of anybody or anything. Ask me the same question if and when we do our basement and I may have a different response.
3.Complete knitting project- NOPE. Not even close
Sewing the bento box took over many of my late night missions. I stalled at 6 blocks. I will make an effort to finish it this summer. This will be a carry-over goal on "to do round 3-summer theme"
4. 10 New recipes-CHECK
This goal I finished fast. In fact I did it in several dedicated weeks. I will not be on a new recipe kick for a while. I think I will be re-inventing summer dinners with a few "old faithfuls".
5. Read a book-BOO.. No
However, I did buy a new book yesterday ( The Happiest Toddler On the Block) and I am already 90 pages in. Maybe the key is that I have to buy the book! This will also be a carry-over goal.
6. Garden beautifying- CHECK. Now I am ready to enjoy
Of course there are still things I want to do. However, all in all we did a fair bit of work in the yard this year. I even think the grass may eventually rebound.
7. Baby book-CHECK
Not much left to update---except for all the new teeth we are sprouting and of course birthday milestones.
8. Mac Photo Book-CHECK
WE love it!
So 6/8 not too bad. This also accompanied a return to work, so I can give myself a pat on the back. Especially because I also finished all my reports today!! Now I just have to deal with my audit from ACOT! Grrr.
