A new place to relax

Two weeks ago, with great enthusiasm, we bought these chairs. For weeks we had been eyeing them up at Costco as potential additions to our lower patio.  So finally last Sunday we caved, I mean rationalized, this purchase. Actually they were not that expensive, but they were just a little bit of work. This little bit of work part we did not realize until the boxes were opened and the unstained wood pieces were lying all over our basement floor. For a second I will admit we both considered a full return. However, this two week project allowed Dad and son to work together with tools, tape measures, and instruction books. And Mom and Dad quickly learned that they will not be replacing their current occupations with a staining career.  In any regard, we ended up with two fantastic ( in my opinion) chairs to relax in, talk in, warm up in, and dream in. Our goal was to sit in our hard work by the long weekend, and we did ! In fact, I got my first burn of the season sitting in mine.  ( Silly me I burnt half of my leg).  Obviously this happened on Sunday afternoon, not yesterday when our poor chairs had to face the wrath of a cold and rainy day.
