Stopping in to share

Happy last day of March.  It has been a fast month. I guess that is good and bad. I am very keen for the summer sunshine, a little bit of a tan, lots of time at the park, cool drinks, runs, some relaxing on my deck, and planning a spring/summer full of boy and Mom adventures. Before I look too far ahead I must remember to stay connected to today and also not forget what has just passed. A lot has happened in these last few months. I guess quite frankly it has been a busy 12 months. So as much as I am trying hard to enjoy the joy in today I am keen to "move on" from some of the chaos and hurdles of the last while.  I think we are all guilty of this. In an effort to stay grounded, logging in to this blog makes me slow down. It makes me think about what is in my head. It makes me form a complete ( well kind of) sentence.  It is harder to post a blog than post a pic and comment on Instagram (a new bad and fun habit). It is more work than posting on good ol' Facebook. So this place is good for me to visit from time to time.  I am happy I continue. And I am happy many of you still check in here.

Today was a fantastic day full of joy. Several egg hunts, lots of food and family. I will admit we lost a little bit of the importance of today while running around in search of coloured plastic. We can improve, but I think for what the brains of a 5 and 1 year old can handle we did alright. Easily a highlight was watching  kindness and consideration blossom further as O kindly skipped over many eggs on the hunt  so his wide eyed and ever keen brother could find some for himself.  I took tons of pictures. The colours, the food and the celebration will be something to share later.

Instead I will share a new collage of my 5 year old. Five feels big. The last few days I feel I have noticed some new maturity. Some new perspectives. A lot more imagination and creativity. Lately I can't get enough of him. He is so so so full of love. Today he kissed my foot because he noticed I had a scratch. Every night without fail I get LOVE.  He appreciates how much I love it when he tries his hardest.  Last night he ate 4!!! pieces of pizza. I have no idea the journey we will go on together but right now I am certain it will involve a lot of milk.  Start saving.
