Departure from home: 3:50 pm, leaving a sleeping infant and excited pre-schooler behind. J spent the weekend with Auntie & Uncle while O had a 2 night sleep over (this was key) at Nana and Grandad's.
Departure from Prairie Life: 6:30 p.m.
Flight time: 1:12 minutes
Drive from Comox to Tofino: 3.5 hours of up & down, back & forth coastal road. The numerous go SLOW signs were comical but very truthful! Most of our drive was in the dark so we missed much of the beauty.
This is what we awoke to on Saturday morning.
It was COOL. Even the starfish were snuggling up together.
Ready for the wedding. Off to watch my jr high friend get married on the beach.
We did not get to hear what they were saying but it was clear...it was heart felt with touches of humour. It was so Sarah.
The boys had turquoise native shoes and Sarah wore Turquoise Hunters under her dress.
Sunday morning walk on Long Beach. A much warmer day.
On our way back: a stop at Catherdral Groove and a break from driving to watch the surfers.
One last stop: Goats on the Roof. (literally look close). A great stop.
An enjoyable get-a-way.
Can't wait for the next one....with the kids.
