Portugal in Point Form

~4 plane rides.

~2 stops in London for a total of 10 hours in the UK.

~2 full days of travelling.

~A fondness for British Airways. A great flying experience to report.

~19 days of vacation.....and it was pure vacation!

~1 rented Opal station wagon for driving. Great car, annoying rental experience....same story every time.

~15 days on the beach.

~No sunburns

~Lots of sand castles and sand tunnels a la O and Daddy

~No surfing for Mom and Dad this year. A few attempts to teach O to bogey board.

~ A realization that our private beach spot has become very touristy and popular because of the great surfing and golf resorts that are being built.

~A mastered sense of beach prep and set up by the end of the trip.

~500 beach pictures with our old camera. Unfortunately several photos bear the reminder of why cameras don't like sand with an unsightly and unfortunate spot. The new camera had to stay at home on beach days.

~4 day trips

~Obidos, Porto, Lisbon ( Belem and Shopping) and Lisbon Oceanarium.

~A galon (mini latte) and pastry almost every night.

~No real bedtime or need to wake up early.

~ A new found love of the iPad for reading and Scrabble games

~Lots of practice eating ice-cream on the beach

~Numerous attempts for a good family photo

~ Over 1000 photos ( Don't panic only sharing a couple hundred on the gallery)

~Lots of quality time with Avo and Avo.

~A tremendous sense of joy relaxing with family

~Home cooked meals almost every night

~Countless unforgettable memories and pure FAMILY TIME.
