I ordered this fabric quickly.....maybe a little too quickly if I was hoping to make a blanket for O's room with each of these 12 fabrics. I got so excited when I saw the combo of planes, trains and cars. It seemed perfect, but now that it is in my hands it seems to have too much turquoise and orange. It also seems to have too much repetition.
Currently, I have separated the fabrics into 2 groups yet I may break it down further likely using only 2 or 3 fat quarters for O's blanket. I want more navy, cream, and brown. I also want it to look a little bit more big boyish.
......I guess I have fabric shopping at the local store to do after all.
In addition to a colourful day of fabric gazing, the sun was out, O and I had fun at IKEA ( productive too), we had lunch at the mall with Nana, I got a workout in, and now we all sit smooched on our fantastic couch watching a Thomas movie ( seen a zillion times previously). Thanks to many of you for the kind words. I am a sunshine girl who loves feeling "productive".
So for today I have to thank my little boy for being helpful, my husband for encouraging me to go to the gym, and to the weatherman for telling the sun I really needed him today.
