What to say.......

Many a day I am in the car or watching O zoom trains around his train table when I come up with a thought....something that at the time I would like to blog about. However these days by the time I sit down to type I convince myself that my idea is not as interesting as I originally thought or it has simply vanished. This likely has a lot to do with my wandering brain these days. At the moment my brain and body seem to be pretty busy completing my to do list, ensuring I get some QT with my little boy, and also doing a few things for me that I know will be on hold for a little bit. I also find myself perpetually wondering who is occupying all the space in my belly and WHEN oh WHEN are they going to say hello. Although I can honestly say that the idea of having another baby around has not TRULY sunk in yet, I am getting more and more curious about WHO this little munchkin will be and what will be his or her personality.

While I wonder, O appears to be growing up in many ways showing us greater levels of:
~curiosity. Tried to set the table like the pigs in his book last night....oh dear.
~independence. Insistent on getting his own water out of the fridge spout...oh dear again.
~determination. Last night tried so hard to keep up with the shovelling pace of our 7 & 9 year old neighbours.
~style. Regularly refuses to wear jeans. Didn't you know they are cold.
~craftiness. I am talking baby steps, but I almost cried and the painting project from today.
~tolerance. One month later he still dealing with sniffles and stuffiness like a champ.
~cuteness. He is currently sporting a new big boy hair cut.
~Big brotherliness. Since the crib aquarium appeared O has started telling us that he will be in charge of the music box.
~Indifference. This is driving me crazy.....he often goes back and forth on decisions. Yes, No, I want to, I don't want to, please, no thank you. ARG. Can't make up his mind, and I am really hoping it is a stage.
~Sweetness. With the numerous "mistakes" that 3 year olds make, O has taken too this oh so sweet phrase.."I will kiss you Mommy...and then you will feel better" How can my frown not turn upside down.

I am very curious to see how he reacts to this baby. He knows the story lines but I am fairly certain he is quite unaware of the reality.....probably just like his Mom.

So bear with me as my mind wonders.......Soon enough I am sure I will have plenty enough to comment on. Then I can only hope I have the time to reflect and ask for reassurance.

One final thing.....
Have a look at this face
I love it!
I love them!
I love the joy and jubilation!
I love the learning and the upside down mitten!
P.S. I will update the gallery tomorrow.
