Average Woman

The elves in this house still remain a little under the weather and are starting to get a little bit of cabin fever. None the less , we are taking advantage of another very cold ( but very pretty) day to stay inside and get some baking done, clean out the Kleenex box and hopefully get a little bit more christmas cleaning done too. This is a busy season, and in particular I feel the elves in this house have been particularly busy these last few weeks. More on that later.

Today I thought I would pull out another "Average Women" to share with you all. I think it goes with the theme of being busy.

9 to 5
Eat. Work. Play. Sleep.

First thing the Average Women ( AW) does when she wakes up in the A.M:
~staggers to the bathroom

Percentage of women who start their day before 7 A.M.
~61%

Minutes the AW spends getting ready for work
~54

Percentage of women who go straight home after work
~63

What the other 37 percent are likely to do:
~go to the gym or run errands

Number if first time moms who go back to work 4 months after giving birth
~1 in 2. ( Obviously data from the U.S., thank goodness for a 1 year mat leave)

The AW's top five most time consuming errands:
~doctor appointment, laundry, bill paying, banking, grocery shopping and grooming.

Person the AW would hire first to make her day easier:
~maid

Activity that's first to go when she's pressed for time:
~making dinner

The average women usually hits the sack:
~between 10 and midnight

Must run...back to my soup I go. I am not sure how long sneezy is going to sleep today, he is still talking out-loud to monkey.

  1. Hope everyone in your household starts to feel better soon - the soup should be wonderful for tonight :)

And I agree with the AW - laundry takes an absurd amount of my time!

  2. maybe the moms going back to work are self-employed and don't get mat leave? ;)
