Paradise

The shouts and screams of laughter,
the toys spilled in the hall;
I pick up shoes and jackets
and put away a doll.
Cookie crumbs seem never ending,
clothes lay everywhere,
Quiet is a funny word-
In fact, it's rather rare.
Only when at night that he sleep
is my little boy calm and still,
Yet I yearn for noises and racket;
It makes my life fulfilled.
Others call it an annoyance,
"Absurd!" they say it is,
But I call my home Paradise,
And I owe it all to my kid.

    And I've been wearing my new "Uggs" around the house, they are so absurdly comfortable. Looking forward to our next Costco date :)
